Lessons to Be Learned

They say there’s a universal plan
For every woman, for every man
I do believe there’s a higher power
But in our darkest hour it’s hard to understand
So we start to question, start to doubt
We lose faith in what life’s all about

Why did the right road take the wrong turn?
Why did our hearts break?
Why’d we get burned?
Just like the seasons there are reasons for the paths we take
There are no mistakes just lessons to be learned.

Don’t give up
Keep on looking deep inside
Let your heartbeat be your guide
Cause there’s a gift for those who keep believing
You’ll find what you’ve been needing is right before your eyes
You’ll hold the answer in your hands
And then you’ll know
You’ll finally understand

Why, why did that right road take that wrong?
Why did our heart break?
And why’d we get burned?
Just like the seasons there are reasons for the paths we take
There are no mistakes just lessons to be learned

No matter how many times you stumble or fall
The greatest lesson is loving yourself through it all

Why did that right road take that wrong turn?
Why did our heart break?
Why’d we get burned?
Just like the seasons there are reasons for the paths we take
There are no mistakes just lessons to be learned.

Ahhhh, I love Barbra. Always a message if you listen deep enough.

I've spent way more time than I should have the last couple of days kicking myself for some coulda, shoulda, woulda things. Then I pulled a CD out of the collection at random and what to my wondering ears should play... yup. It's a message we should all take to heart from time to time. While it doesn't say we aren't accountable for our actions, it did reinforce to me that sometimes our choices are just lessons into making better choices. Sometimes we find ourselves on different paths than we intended, even different than we would ever choose for ourselves. But in the end, it's what we learn, not what our error was that is most important.

Hi Mad - Just want to ask you - do you really think BG is making those comments over at TP? Since when does BG use a word like "drug". That's a Shina word.

Me thinks the only one running the show over at TP has a new name: Sybil.

Just sayin'.

I like you Madison. Don't want you to be deceived. I'm not a monkey. Card-carrying BB.

Well, hello Anony.

What I "know" is this. We all have the ability and agency to pick our friends and make our own choices in life. I don't profess to know why anyone besides myself does or says anything, nor will I use this forum to discuss other bloggers in a negative way.

I appreciate you stopping by. The door is always open but I would prefer to answer your question on the board in question and leave it at that.

Thanks and hug your kids! (Or someones' kids LOL)
