The Irony of Seeking Answers
It seems that when I set about finding answers, I inevitably create more questions. However, I also seem to find "repeats" of the answers I seek, once I ask the questions.
I ran across a song this evening which reminded me so much of Trey's thoughts in my last posting. Lynne Perry Christofferson wrote the lyrics and music and if I can figure out how to post just a clipping of the song so as not to violate any copyright I will. But I wanted to share the lyrics - perhaps in part to reaffirm the things that Trey was sharing, but also to affirm that families come in all shapes, sizes and compositions. Regardless of the nature of your family, I hope you take time to tell them often that you love them and find joy in your family ties.
From "Family Ties That Bind":
...we have family ties that bind us
And family love to remind us
That God did not intend for us to be alone
And so he placed each one of us
In a family of our own
Oh how He hopes that we will come to find
Joy in the family ties that bind
