1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Both – recycled bags and creative wraps
2. Real tree or Artificial? Artificial
3. When do you put up the tree? First weekend after Thanksgiving with kids (so sometimes in November, sometimes December)
4. When do you take the tree down? New Year’s Eve – give or take a day
5. Do you like eggnog? yes
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Record player – the record player was supposed to be for my birthday 3 weeks later, but mother screwed up and gave me a record for Christmas. She decided I better have the player too so I didn’t drive her nuts.
7. Hardest person to buy for? My farmer B-I-L
8. Easiest person to buy for? My daughter
9. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes – one of my first ceramic wash/glaze projects
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail.
11.Worst Christmas gift you ever received? A surge protector. The first Christmas my hubby and I were together (3 weeks after the wedding)
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? It’s a Wonderful Life
13. When do you start shopping? January
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Probably. I recycle lots of things.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Snack Mix. I try to limit making it to just the holidays so I can give a lot of it away instead of eating it myself.
16. Lights on the tree? Yes, in bright colors but NO TWINKLES.
17. Favorite Christmas song? What Child Is This
18.Travel at Christmas or stay home? Avoid travel at all costs
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and Rudolph 20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Angel
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Christmas Morning
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Crabby, stressed out people – Happy Holidays, eh?
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? Prior to kid’s choice it was gold and burgundy balls, pearl garland, ivory and burgundy velvet bows, gold icicles and white lights. Very Martha Stewart-ish
24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? Ham, mashed potatoes, lima beans and cranberries. Don't forget the fresh, hot bread as well.
25. What do you want for Christmas this year? An MP3 player. Boy child shouldn’t get one before his mother now, should he?
