Oh, you don't know the story about Maxine? Well Max was boychild's first hamster. I had forgotten that the new little girl looks just like Max did. (Of course the new little girl also looks just like Mr. Cuddles except with short hair so that's who she reminded me of.) In honor of his beloved first pet, boychild decided to name his new little girl Maxine.

p.s. My Aunt Maxine was the coolest! I took my first steps for her, said my first words for her. She was my grandpa's baby sister and he did manage to outlive her, even with all of the cardiac problems he had because he had promised his mother he would take care of the girls. He and his sisters were orphaned at ages 9,6 and 4 respectively. Grandpa was the oldest.
