The Child Without A Sense of Humor

girlchild: "Mom, we know the whole Journey now." (note: Journey is a karate form the children have been learning)

mother: "That's great. So now you can go round trip instead of half way."

girlchild: rolls eyes at mother

mother on phone to her father the next day: "The kids are doing great. They learned the rest of Journey in their karate class."

grandfather laughing: "So can they go round trip now?"

girlchild: rolls eyes again. "You guys are so related."

Shrugs. Can I help it that my daughter has no sense of humor some days?

How old is she? You may have to get used to those eyerolls for the teenage years! ;)

She's 11. And yes, it will be a good many years of eye rolls ahead I have a feeling.

ROFL...unfortunately my 11 yr old sometimes has too much of a sense of humor and, being a boy, his humor leans towards potty humor a lot.

Yes my mother always hated the eye rolling. I still do it sometimes just to bug her. hehe

Give her 20 years and I bet she'll have the exact same sense of humor. Sometimes it takes a little longer ;) iclw

That's pretty funny. Though in my world it would be my dad and my husband doing that.

Ahhh...yes. The 11-year-old eye roll. I know it well. I think that's a hilarious joke and I bet, one day, she'll finally get how really funny it is and share it with her own children :)

Thanks for the encouragment with my daugheter on my blog. I appreciate it!!
