R.I.P. (Again)

Tragedy has again struck the household, only this time on a widespread basis.

Mother apparently lost all control of the few brain cells which had been functioning on Monday (she was mourning the end of the Patriot football season) and accidentally overheated the room where the critters are housed. The upside is that there was no fire - it certainly got hot enough it could have (probably should have) ignited. However all of the critters passed away as a result of the extreme temperatures.


Maxine - boychild's beloved reminder of his first hamster and quiet escape plan creator.


Missy - girlchild's beloved black bear hamster and freakishly hyper rodent.


Moose - aka Randy Moss, boychild's beta who had survived 3 Christmases with our family.


Tom Brady - girlchild's beta who was purchased to replace her first beta that died o the day the Patriots went 16-0. It was a cute little red, white and blue fish.

Thankfully the hermit crabs had been taken to their dad's house just a few days ago so not every pet was lost. But mother sure feels like a mass murderer, especially as she was having to deal with their little corpses.
